Whilst driving home tonight my vision went really spotty and my peripheral was blurry/hazy. Now have a head ache, sensitive to light, a little bit dizzy and faint and feeling slightly nauseous. Anyone else had anything similar?

I’m not a medical expert by any means but sounds like low blood pressure. I get similar symptoms often and had hypotension (low blood pressure) pre pregnancy and was quite prone to fainting.
Spoke to the midwife about it and they said that blood pressure lowers when pregnant and a lot of women experience dizziness/lightheadedness and said that it’s not something to be concerned about unless I’m fainting. Just advised me to stay hydrated and have regular snacks throughout the day.
Might be worth speaking to your midwife or 111 if you have any concerns or the symptoms are lasting.

Thanks. Blood pressed has always been OK but its been a couple of weeks since I've had it tested. I might just contact midwife to be on the safe side

Could also be low blood sugars. I always keep a sugary snack and some biscuits in my car just incase. I often get low blood sugars and experience the same sort of symptoms. Does also sound like it could be low blood pressure.
Deff get it checked out to be on the safe side

Is it a migraine?

Is the pain on the opposite side to where you saw a funny vision in your eyes?

It sounds like how I get migraines. I see a weird vision and then within half an hour of the vision, when my sight has gone back to normal, I get a bad headache on the opposite side of my head to where I saw the most vision. Makes me sensitive to light and I have to take paracetamol and lie still in a dark room/go to sleep. Some people get sickness and nausea with migraines. It’s very strange if you’ve never had one before.
Also might not be that but those are migraine symptoms I get. Hope you feel better soon xx

Hi jo, your obviously feeling a bit rotten at the minute so I would definitely phone maternity triage for some advice

This is something I read should be taken seriously, so defo contact your midwife service / hospital 👍🏻 good luck and feel better ♥️

I don't feel like the headache was bad enough for a migrane but might be wrong

Ah okay, maybe not then. Strangely my dad gets migraines with the vision interruptions but then has no following pain lol lucky for some! Did you get any advice? Xx

Thanks everyone. Felt better this morning so drove to work but then when stood for a long time or walking I'm now feeling dizzy, faint, woozy and nausia and hands and legs are tingling and slighgtly numb. Been to the doctors and blood pressure was OK but at this point I was feeling better. She made me stand for 30 second then did it again 🤦♀️Advice was it could be a migrane or virus and to rest and go back if no better. Someone mentioned anaemia. I had to take supplements in first pregnancy and it runs in my family. Do you think I need to get it checked out or trust doctors judgement?

I would maybe call your midwifery team and see if they agree or advise otherwise just in case as they are specialists xx
