Hi guys, I wondered if anyone has felt the same?
I'm 27.4 weeks today, I've been having having heart palpatations for the last week or so, but it seems only at night when I'm lieing down going to sleep. Especially on my left side. I did not need another thing to be keeping me awake š it seems better when I'm on my right side... But that's the side I get instant heartburn on. Also seems better on my back.. Obv can't sleep like that.
It's really quite uncomfortable.. And a bit scary.
I have googled it and it says its normal to have heart palpatations in 3rd tri, as our body is working so hard to pump more blood round for the body. I just wondered if others are experiencing this when lieing down ?..

Iāve had this since early second trimester (am now 25+5) havenāt found anything that helps really except sometimes propping myself up a bit and doing the hypnobirthing breathing Iāve learnt to relax. Think itās normal as itās just your heart working for both you and baby.

Same here. Every night.š
I'm 25 weeks so far and I've been having them a while.
It's common to feel your heart racing during pregnancy because increased blood volume makes your heart work harder. If you don't have an underlying health condition that affects your heart rate and occasional heart palpitations are the only symptom you have, you likely don't need to be concerned.

I had this from about week 23/24 - got checked out by midwife and GP who did an ECG and they said thereās no arrhythmia, no BP issues yet but it is likely just the additional stress carrying 50% more blood has on your heart. My heart still does it from time to time but it has settled back down again - but if youāre not sure, call your GP/mat triage. I think my anxiety was particularly bad then so it didnāt help as my first instinct was to panic in case the baby wasnāt getting enough blood (I also have HG so was worrying about her suffering all the way through) but sheās totally fine, a big chunky baby from the seems of it š¤£

I have this at 25 weeks, worse when Iām lying on my left before bed :)

it's because you're lying on your heart side. So it makes the heart heats stronger. It's normal, as your hearts works much harder now you're pregnant, pumping the blood.
When you're out and about it's harder to feel it but when you lay down and relax it feels like it's about to beat out of your chest

Currently 30week and honestly itās just gas I feel my stomach is making noise everything making noise

Dreading mine getting worse. I've had mine for 7 years (and I'm currently 24+2 with my first baby) and they haven't improved or deteriorated.
Having them pass in my case differs from source of palpatations. Sometimes it's because I eat too much, sometimes because I haven't eaten, sometimes because I stood up too quick, and sometimes they appear for no good reason. All these scenarios have different resolutions that I know work for me.
Try seeing if eating at a different time helps alleviate them, or perhaps eating smaller portions for your latest meal. If it's just something to do with positioning- perhaps a pregnancy pillow (but I haven't tried those before). Maybe in a certain position your heart will function "normally". Either way- good luck.
