Metronidazole side effects

Has anyone taken the antibiotic metronidazole? I've started taking it recently and had a headache ever since. It comes and goes. Rang the GP and she wasn't concerned but it made me feel paranoid after reading the leaflet inside. Intrigued to know what side effects other people have had.

yes the most terrible sickness. im on them again now because i have a retained placenta and luckily the antisickness they prescribed this time works but i felt absolutely terrible! i couldnt even eat and im EBF!

Oh no that sounds terrible. Poor you. I feel rough with them. My headache is a nightmare and when you read the information its all about aseptic meningitis which is terrifying..but I spoke to my GP and she didn't seem bothered. Constantly feel fobbed off by them 🤦‍♀️

oh goodness! maybe its talking about the antibiotics being used to treat that as i was told its a very broad spectrum antibiotic as they didnt know what infection i had.
ik the NHS is just shit at the moment!
