Has anyone else had experience with circumvallate placenta? At 21 weeks I got diagnosed with it. 34 weeks now & still rocking on. It occurs in 1% of all pregnancies. Wondering what others experiences were?
Some risks are lower birth weight & preterm labor, & placenta abruption.

Hi! I was diagnosed with it at my anatomy scan at 19 weeks! They think it's not there anymore but I'm confused if it can correct or if they just didn't diagnose it right to begin with? Sort of uncertain but I'll see what they say at my next OB appt. Are they doing extra monitoring?

I was diagnosed at anatomy scan also. Been seeing a high risk doc since then. It can correct itself/ go away/ etc.
Mine went from full circumvallate to partial then now at 34 weeks they can’t even see it anymore because baby is so big! I get ultrasounds every 2ish weeks & I get NST’s every 4 days & induced at 39 weeks due to not wanting to put anymore stress on baby or placenta then necessary. I’m curious if I’ll carry to 39 weeks or not though, since it causes preterm.
When I found out I forsure thought I was gunna have a stillborn or not be able to carry full term or even have this baby but now that he’s 34 weeks I’m overjoyed because at least at this point he can survive outside of the womb if something terrible did happen.

It’s definitely hard to see/tell. They showed me what mine looked like and it literally was a little tiny crease in the placenta wall on the ultrasound. I was like how the hell did they even find/see that?

I know I thought the same thing after the diagnosis. I was so sad and google did not help at all. My doctor made me feel a lot better and when I went back at 25 weeks they said baby was growing fine and they didn't see it anymore at all. So crazy. I hope your appointments go well :) I'm 34 weeks Monday and I'll have my next one on the 18th
