Feeding

Lately, my baby doesn’t seem to be hungry enough for his 7oz bottles every 3h. He has 5 bottles a day and he maybe take 2-3 full bottles. He wasn’t always at thus level of fussiness. Could this be due to teething? Or should I be taking him to be seen?

He was wet and dirty nappies ok and he seems to be gaining weight ok. Need some advice or tips or just some reassurance

Hey, mine was the same so I dropped a bottle. I now do 4x 8oz bottles which works better for my LO as she started only finishing half the bottles when she was having 5 xx

that’s something I could try! My baby is just so so fussy with his bottles and I can’t figure out what it is… he wasn’t always like this though maybe up until he was 3 or 4 months he’s been so fussy

Oh yes we have the same! I cannot feed her out and about, I have to feed her at home in the bedroom so she’s facing a blank wall no tv no toys nearby to distract 😂 also she has to be facing away from me when she feeds. Took me 3 months of terrible feeds to find something that works!

Does he get distracted easily? Mine started doing this dead on 3 months old literally using to guzzle her milk before. I find the 4 bottles work better as she is hungrier by the time the next one comes around so doesn’t fuss quite as much

I’ve been stuck on 4 feeds of 3X7oz and an 8oz before bed for ageeees now. My little one only ever finishes her bedtime bottle and the rest are such a chore! I always worry she doesn’t have enough but she’s gaining weight and I have to try to remind myself she will eat when she’s hungry x

it’s bad that I so much peace int he fact that I’m literally not alone!! You’re describing my baby boy there. I’ve been getting out of the house almost everyday for the past two week to feed him atleast 1 feed to get him used to the outside distractions. He gets so so distracted and would jsut turn away. I’m definitely going to try 4 bottles. Thank you so so much

that’s always my worry too and it’s so hard to not compare but you are so right that they will eat more when they are hungry!

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Baby with chronic congestion

Hi everyone! My 1 year has been a congested baby since birth almost. She breathes through her mouth so often that it wakes her up multiple times at night and she cries and screams and then struggles to go back to sleep. She wakes up every 1-3 hours and sometimes can’t go back to sleep for 2-3 hours!!! Piriton is the only thing that seems to help her sleep mostly through the night but I can’t keep giving her that!!
Does anyone have tips as to have I can do or give her? Has anyone experienced? I have no idea when I’ll get an ENT appointment and I have no idea what he can give a 13 mo :( we are desperate for sleep so any tips are welcome!! We have tried steam inhalation, saline drops, vapour rubs and everything off the counter basically!
