I’m on the same boat , my LG is 8 months and I keep giving her the same stuff mashed as I’m worried to give anything else 🥲

I started weaning my LG at 6 months and never have purée. There is. I evidence to suggest that either has a higher risk of choking. It’s all to do with how you prepare and serve the food. There is a good group on Facebook called ‘weaning the BLW way’ people post recipes and the admins do lots of research. They can answer any questions you may have. X

Give her anything! It’s good to be exposing her to a variety of different textures and flavours. She will gag on food, it’s normal and it’s how they learn what kind of bite size is appropriate for them. Definitely recommend the Facebook group mentioned above also. You don’t have to go straight to BLW if you’re not confident, you can mash up any kind of food together and gradually introduce finger foods. You really want to start looking at introducing allergens as well. The closer to 6 months you do, the less likely they are to have allergies to certain foods. Highly recommend the book ‘How to wean your baby’. By 12 months she should be on 3 meals a day plus snacks so you probably need to start giving her much more variety.

I try to give mine what we have, minus the salt. I also have some meals in the freezer for when our meals are not appropriate for her. I have fish, chicken and beef with vegetables in ice cube trays in the freezer.
Weaning can be so stressful, can't it? Best advice I was given was to keep it simple. Hope this helps :)

You could also speak to your/a HV as many areas have an introduction to solids workshop! If not they can help with advice ☺️

We do baby led weaning so have given her pretty much the same thing we eat with no salt/honey since she was 6m old. You’ll be surprised by what they can manage! We usually do porridge or pancakes for breakfast, fish cakes/pasta/humous and dippers or similar for lunch and then whatever we’re having for dinner. The what mummy makes cook books are great and solid starts is a helpful app to know how to cut things up 😊

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?
