Confused on how I should dress my baby when we leave the hospital. Any examples or suggestions? I’m sure end of October. I live in Philly so pretty chilly around then.

I chose warm
We should be leaving the hospital today

I brought a zip up sleeper w the feet and mittens. Then brought a baby hat.

You need something to cover their hands so they don't claw their face

It was abnormally hot in LA on Monday, so one of my options that we went with was just a simple onesie. Swaddled him until we got to the car, then just draped the blanket. I wish I brought socks tho!! Luckily we live just a 10 min drive from the hospital.
Also, I had a “big” baby at just under 8lbs (dr thought even bigger that’s why I was induced) and he’s swimming in new born size. I brought 0-3 thinking it would fit- wayyyy too big!!! We need a lot more newborn clothes.

Warm clothing. Fleece lined onesies, even putting a short sleeve under the fleece lined one, hats, mittens, socks if your onesie has the feet openings. And one of those car seat covers. ❤️

Old navy have them, but also somewhere else like carters and Walmart but go get you a double zip onesies with the built in mitten. Then you can get a warm blanket and a car set cover to keep your baby warm when heading to your car.

Onesie with feet and hand covers on it, hat, blanket for car seat

These are all very helpful. Grateful and appreciative for everyone’s comments!
