We got a passport but I don't recall having to fill in grandparent's details 🤷‍♀️ x

@Daniela For some reason it's asking for my parents details & his dad's parents details. However I have a passport but his dad doesn't so I don't know🤷🏽‍♀️x

You just need their names, address and birth place. You don’t need their ID x

@Elise Hmmm maybe that's why possibly if he doesn't have a passport maybe they need the further info 🤷‍♀️. It does say online just Birth certificate for the child. Are you applying online? That's so strange isn't it x

none of my sons grandparents were married so wasn’t applicable x

yes you have to. It will be returned to you in a different letter as the passport tho. Regarding grandparents I think it is the only name etc I can't recall properly but it was easy x

We didn't need to do the grandparents. We just filled in our passport details and that was enough.

Then send off the birth certificate. Definitely give enough time! Ours went over the standard 12week wait time. LG passport just arrived 4days before the flight 🙈

We don't go till May so hopefully there's not a backlog🤣 but yeah applying for my near on 1 year olds passport it's asking for grandparents online lol xx
