Baby blood type

Hello, so my partner is O negative and I’m B positive does this mean I have to have the treatment at 28 weeks? Or is it only if I’m negative and he’s positive

Only if you're negative.

I’m O negative and it’s only if you have negative blood, not your partner

Okay so if I’m positive and he’s negative it’s fine, because he doesn’t have the antibodies to give me. The time jd need treatment is if I was negative and he was positive

yes that’s right, my baby is positive so I needed the anti-D jab at 28 weeks. You also need it if you bleed at any point in your pregnancy and also after labour x

My Blood is B negative? My husband doesn't remember his... What does that mean

@Alana Smart you'll be offered the injections. X

You only need it if you're negative, so you don't need to worry about it. I'm negative and my partner is positive so I'll get it with all pregnancies, and I got it again after my oldest was born because he's positive as well.

They don’t check dads blood group so his won’t matter.
If you’re negative you’ll have the Anti D injection around week 28 and then watch for any bumps or knocks, specifically to your belly.
They’ll then check babies blood type when they’re born. My baby was also negative but was DAT positive so needed folic acid daily for 8 weeks.

I am B+ and he is O-

They honestly didn’t even ask me his blood type lol. I didn’t have to have treatment.

I'm B negative and I had two anti D injections, one while pregnant and one after my daughter was born as her dad is O positive and she's B positive as they tested her blood after she was born.
