Sweep Today

I'm having my first sweep today at 39+5, does anyone have any positive stories? I've seen so many stories of unsuccessful sweeps and I'm really nervous, I'm praying it works because I've been really struggling the last week with nerves down my leg and back ☹️

My waters broke the day after my sweep 💗

My first sweep seemed to work (got lots of labour symptoms then it all stopped. Went back a week later for a second one and went into labour the next evening (1 day before induction 😅

I had a sweep yesterday. I was 3cm dilated and she touched babies head. Had bad ache and period pains overnight and bloody show this morning. Waiting to see if anything else happens today 🤷🏻‍♀️
I’m booked for them to break waters on Saturday if not!!

I had a sweep yesterday, was 2cm (wouldn’t say it hurt just unpleasant) - been cramping and slight bleeding ever since, big chunk of bloody show lost about 4 hours after! Due to be induced tomorrow but spending the day bouncing on my ball and walking as I’m hoping things do progress naturally 🤞🏼 good luck with yours x

I had an early sweep (37+5) yesterday morning, lost my plug this morning and had the 'clear out' just got to sit tight and see if anything else happens. It didn't hurt was just uncomfortable, good luck Hun!x

I had one sweep at 39 weeks was a bit painful for me but my water broke and gave birth two days later so seems like it worked for me

How many of you had your c sections rescheduled?

So I'm choosing to have a c section this time around because I had an emergency c section after being induced last time. That was less than 2 years ago so I don't think it's a good idea to try again. I'm really nervous it's gonna be rescheduled bcs I have my sister taking time off work to help me out with the baby in the hospital since my husband will have to go home to be with our toddler at night. Also my husband starts his leave on that day so I don't want him to lose any more days. So I'm just wondering how common this is. I'm in the US in NJ

C Section Date

I’m 37 weeks and I’m due on 6th April. I’m having an elective c section and haven’t been given my date yet, is anyone else in this situation? X

Unwell after sweep

I’ve had a sweep earlier today, lost the mucus plug about a couple hours later. Got period type cramping immediately, I hadn’t even left the midwife appointment yet. I have contractions and permanent back cramping, alongside waves of nausea - which is a combination I’m struggling with as I feel quite unwell. Nowhere near labour, as I’ve had 6 contractions in the span of 3 hours or so. A midwife told me sweeps cause really bad cramping, so I assumed it was normal. But just want to check if there’s anybody out there in a similar boat? Should I be calling the hospital to check if it’s all normal?

39 Week Induction Being Pushed On

Went to my 36 week appointment today and my OB was pushing for a 39 week induction.

I want a natural spontaneous labor but my OB kept pushing for the induction even if I’m low risk and healthy. Is anyone else experiencing this?
