Hand foot and mouth

I caught it off my daughter and it felt like pins in my hands and feet. I couldn’t touch anything or stand. Calpol, some soothing gel like aloe vera from the fridge. Or cold water on a flannel and dab her hands and feet

Ah I hope I don’t catch it. Can’t be dealing with me and her being ill. But I do wish I had it and not her x

I just recovered from HFM myself that I caught it off my daughter. I have tried sooo many different creams and the ones I found useful for my itchiness are Aloe Vera Gel (pop it in the fridge to cool down), E45 itch relief (suitable for all ages) and Eurax gel (check whether this is suitable for babies). Also a bath with lots and lots of Aveeno baby (oatmeal, aloe, chamomile) was very soothing for the skin. Keep the water cool as anything warm/hot made me itch even more! It’s awful, hope your little one gets better soon!

When my daughter had it (she wasn’t bothered by the blisters luckily) I put sudocream on her blisters to dry them out quicker. I’m not sure if it helped speed up the process but maybe worth a try

My little one had hand foot & mouth few weeks ago, I thought it was chicken pox to start with and just put a bit of calamine lotion on and just gave him calpol! Xx
