Does anyone know if you can work up until you give birth with the NHS or do you need a defined ‘finish’ date?

I worked up until 38 weeks with my first but was two weeks overdue. I feel thag with my second I would be happy to work until baby came.

I worked until a few days until the due date, but I’m not sure they would let you work after that.
You do get more tired with the second, because you don’t get as much rest as first time round though.

You have to define a date by I want to say 28 weeks and you can alter it up until 31. I maybe wrong but you defo have to define a date on the maternity application form when you give you matb1 x

You have to have a date you want to go on mat leave by, but this can be altered later on, depending on your managers and HR’s flexibility/discretion.
