NIPT Testing

I think it is because mine said 10-12wks I think

Mine said the earliest they will do it is 10 weeks because if you do it too early the test can come back inconclusive and you will have to take it again.

I was told for the NT scan, they will do it anywhere from 10-14 weeks but 12 weeks is optimal and most accurate. They recommend doing the bloodwork at the same time.

NIPT testing is typically done in a certain window. 10-14 I believe.

A New York Times investigation of NIPTs found that they were usually wrong about anything beyond Down syndrome, with an 85% false positive rate for the five most common microdeletion tests.

I did mine at 10 weeks

Have to be 9 weeks and further

Mine is letting me do mine this week and I'm 10 weeks

That’s def an office thing.. u can get them as early as 9 weeks I got mine 9 weeks 3 days and found out 4 days later

That would be a reasonable thing to do. I got one my first pregnancy and the nurses told me I'm a carrier for Muscular Dystrophy. I was considering not having any more kids because of that. Decided to anyway, now while I'm pregnant I read this news! So I'm relieved and will not be getting any more NIPT tests. The false negative rate is pretty high as well. So basically you have no idea whether the results are accurate.
Oh and my insurance didn't cover it and Natera billed me $1,200. Which at the time I thought I had to pay, now I'm reading that it's basically a scam to charge that much, and if you complain they'll reduce it to $300.

I did sneak peak new girl at7 weeks nipt to confirm this past Monday will know for sure Friday at 12 weeks

10 weeks for me

I’m getting mine Monday and per my OBs office and the Natera rep I was speaking to, the “sweet spot” for the testing is 11-13 weeks with them.
