I don't feel emotionally attached to this pregnancy :-(

Anyone else?

How far along are you?

Avatar

I didn’t in my first pregnancy. I just felt ill, I didn’t feel pregnant, I didn’t care, I wasn’t excited. Don’t let anyone put pressure on you to feel any sort of way. Your doing great 🌟

Avatar

@Elizabeth I'm 8 weeks with my second pregnancy which is a miracle as it's taken 10 years 😩

Avatar

@Rachel I was over the moon with the first but then dad was around to share the emotions. This time, I haven't even cried with happiness and keep contemplating whether I'm making the right decision. The dad won't be around for this baby :-( Also, I'm the same as you were... I feel down and ill constantly and alone 😔 Thank you xx

I’m in that same boat of dad not being around to share my experience so it makes me kind of distant or detached but I know as time progresses that things will get easier. I’m due in May

Avatar

@Danielle I'm due in May too 💚 What are you hoping for?

Avatar

So far just a healthy pregnancy, I have a boy and girl already so I wouldn’t mind another girl. I wanna wait until I’m due to find out the gender this time

Avatar

I feel so detached

Avatar

I’m still in denial I’m pregnant. I think once I feel bubs and once I see a clear ultrasound (not just a blob) I will feel different

Avatar

I’m 9 weeks, all I know is my face is getting puffy and my jeggings are getting tight at the belly… how do people find being pregnant an amazing experience 😂 it’s just not nice

Avatar

agree. I’m straight up not having a good time

Avatar

I'm only 9+4 and been to the Dr once a week from being sick... I already want it to be over. I'm hoping once I feel baby and possibly know the gender then I will feel different. I've always wanted to have a baby but now that it's here I'm not as excited as I thought I would be. Once again hoping that will change once I'm further along 🤞

Avatar

yea I agree - I’m hoping I may and will feel different when I know about the gender and see a ‘face’ not a blob with flickering heartbeat on ultrasound

Avatar

That's amazing 💙🩷 Congratulations and I hope everything goes well for you 🫶🏻

Avatar

Yes! Denial is a good word here. I feel exactly the same x

Avatar

Do you have any sickness? Or have you managed to bypass that 🤪🤣

Avatar

@Mackenna Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 the sickness stops for you 😔 There's a high chance it'll stop after first trimester but sometimes it doesn't. 9 months of feeling shit then you'll have a beautiful baby 👶 💙🩷

i feel the same, im in the same boat, the dad is not around and can be emotionally abusive from far away.

I always wanted this in life, but now it is here im a bit skeptical in how things will follow.

I think once i know the gender and start feeling the move, i will be different. For now, i just feel so un attached

Avatar

I feel detached because I had a miscarriage earlier this year and I'm too scared it may happen again xx

Avatar

I feel this! it’s def taken me out of my elements 😮‍💨 cannot wait to be at the finish line

Avatar

not particularly any sickness, just tiredness and picky with foods and sore boobs every day and my biggest issue is being constantly bloated 🤰I sound like a brat now 😂 lols

There's no right way to feel I don't think. Pregnancy is so tough, mentally and physically. We are telling my in-laws this week and I know they are going to judge me for not being 'excited' enough. We had a loss and so I'm just trying to cushion myself for my mental health. Try to focus on looking after you and try not to be consumed by guilt or obligation. Rooting for you and admire your honesty.
