Has anyone had their health visitor, visit yet?
What sort of things do they go through? And do they check the house ect? 👀 I have mine tomorrow, and just curious.

I cleaned my whole house and she literally sat on my sofa, she asks about yourself partner, both childhoods, mine spoke about SIDS, breastfeeding, animals in the house, feeling supported, safe sleeping, asked whether I can any questions, why they are there, when they will come ect, vaccinations, gave me the Red book. General stuff really, she was lovely and really comforting xx

They just sat down on a seat the whole time, spoke about their role what they do? How they can support you? Asked if I have support from family? Does either of us smoke? If I had everything in? Baby vaccinations, About feeding, safe sleeping, gave leaflets and red book and said would come out about 2 weeks after baby is born as it’s the midwife’s for the first few weeks.

I cleaned the entire house and she never left the living room chair 🙈😂 asked about safe sleep / plans for feeding (she did push breast feeding a bit). Said there’s an increase in PND so was asking about history of depression in family / myself (luckily I don’t have any) as this makes it more likely etc. Lasted about an hour

It's just a chat about her role and what happens. After the baby comes, they do request to see the baby's room, but it's just to give safety advice.

Definitely nothing to be worried about. Mine said that someone actually asked her 'Don't you want to see the nursery and the house' and she said not at the moment but we may do when baby is here. Mine was lovely and very supportive. Got my red book and she gave lots of helpful advice and answered any questions we had xx

I had mine, I cleaned the whole house for nothing 🤣 she came in sat on sofa and stayed there whole time until she left. Same questions and things mentioned by those above x

Thanks so much everyone! 🥰she legit sat in the dining room with us, she was absolutely lovely. Went through basically what you’ve all said - also gave us a lot of advice regarding a private parenting class we’d been to and decided to leave - left us feeling really good about our decision, and actually made us realise that the majority of things we had been taught were wrong (which we had thought they were)
