Devastated
I haven’t talked to my father since 2016 and no matter how much I put forth effort over the years he just isn’t “father worthy.” Anyway….. I wrote him about a year ago to let him know he has a new grandson and all this. I was DELIGHTED to see he finally responded to me last week and although he didn’t say much I haven’t spoken to him in years and it felt good. I know he’s been sick so it made since that he took awhile to see the message. Well turns out, it was just a Facebook hacker playing with me 😔…. I really had felt a void lift off of me when he responded and now it’s back

Just keep trying, my father was the same way, I tried the last two years to get a hold of him and to no avail, he never responded. Keeping up a relationship was very difficult and he only contacted me when he needed some help. I still loved him anyway.Unfortunately he passed away this year and I’ll always miss what we never had. I hope you get in contact with him and can mend things, best of luck❤️
