How did you all drop bottles? Did you offer a snack in place of the bottle? My baby still happily drinks all 4 bottles (most of 240ml) and 3 meals a day but I know I need to drop the milk, just don't want him to be grumpy expecting his milk and also don't want to deprive him!

What times does he have milk and meals at? You might have to move his schedule around a little bit

I was giving my girl x5 210ml bottles a day, my HV said to drop it to x2 bottles instead. A typical day for us is:
Bottle at 7am, breakfast at 8.30am, snack at 10.30am, lunch at 12.30pm, snack at 2.30pm, dinner at 4.30pm and bottle at 6.30/7pm for bed time. It took some time to get this routine, there's good food days and bad days. Some days she needs extra bottles as she doesn't eat much x

We just dropped from 4 to 2 and yes we are offering snacks instead and now thr he is one we are offering some cows milk with snack/meal. There are some days we offer a third bottle still but most days 2 work fine and we have now started mixing with cows milk
He's having his first bottle at 7am, brekkie at 8:30
Second bottle 11am, lunch 1pm
3rd bottle 3pm, dinner, 5pm
Last bottle 6:30pm
Bedtime 7pm x
This feels like a good schedule 👍 will give this a go thank you x

No worries at all, give me a shout if you have any questions xx

Our routine is the same as Ellie’s as this was the same advice given from my HV to drop bottles to just am and pm. I just made sure initially that the snacks were quite filling like yoghurt mixed with berries or a mini sandwich / toast to keep her going. She eats so much better now though!

Literally same as you!
We still on 4 bottles 150ml a bottle and she will have 3 good meals a day too.
If she doesn't then she's upset at night. At Nursery they say they struggle to give but then by 11pm she's crying and will only settle around 1am when I've tried everything else and resorted to a bottle she drinks it all and sleeps again.
What types of 'snacks' are you giving in replace of a bottle ?

Bottle 6am, breakfast 8am, bottle 10am, lunch 1pm, bottle 2:30/3, dinner 5:30, bottle 7pm

Hi! Sounds like a great routine. Did you drop milk to 2x a day, with the same 210ml each? Or more amount since it's fewer bottles? Thanks!

I still do 210 😊 I just give her tons of snacks during the day too x
@Liz For snacks, I'm thinking carrots with hummus, peanut butter on toast, baby food pouches like yogurt with fruit and then probably steam some veggies and mix it with some sort of sauce. I wanna try keep it simple and not have to cook too much but also want him to have nutrional food x
What snacks do you give your little one?

It varies but most days a banana, a yoghurt and some form of crisp type thing like the baby wafers, melty puffs etc. You can also try things like baby biscuits, pizza pinwheels, veggie sticks, fruits, egg muffins x
