Exposed to COVID, concerning.
So I was exposed to someone who just tested positive for COVID yesterday and the last time I saw this person was this past weekend for a group event where we were mostly outdoors and the person wasn’t near me much or for too long.
I woke up with a sore throat and phlegm. Took a COVID test this morning and tested negative. Messaged my doctor and haven’t heard back but just wondering if anyone has experienced this and if I should bother going out at all? Wear a mask? Idk. I am still waiting to see what my doctor will say in regards to precautions since I’m 30 weeks pregnant. Baby is active! I feel good too, not too bad. Maybe it’s a small cold?

I would retest tomorrow and if you’re negative I would just stay home as much as possible since you’re feeling sick. There’s lots of stuff going around right now, never hurts to wear a mask.
I always wait a day or two just to be sure. The recent COVID that's been floating around usually shows symptoms in a few days. If you'll be in any enclosed spaces or large groups of people I always lean towards caution and mask. I don't want to get anyone sick. The last time I got COVID I was careful after my exposure and thankfl I was since I ended up being positive!
Working in nursing homes I've personally witnessed many times residents who had symptoms do covid tests and they up negative and 2 or 3 days later being positive when tested again. Retest in a few days and take precautions. There is a lot going around right now

It can take up to 4 days to test positive wear a mask when out and around people and keep hands clean avoid touching fast
Thank you! I will wear a mask when I go out. I just don’t wear one when I go out for a walk and jus try to avoid people lol.
