Baby number two?!

Is there ever the right time to try for baby number two? My boy is 15 months and we are considering trying for baby 2 soon as it took two years to fall pregnant, but I’m scared about how hard it would be with 2 babies under 2/ish! And I really struggled with nausea for the first 5 months with my first baby. Shall I just go for it and what will be will be?!

No one can tell you whether you should or not. That's up to you, your family and situation.
I'm preg with no 2 currently. Absolutely petrified haha!

I say what will be will be. I had envisioned about a 3 year age gap, but I'm now pregnant so they will be 21months apart. They do say your more fertile after having a baby 😅
You will have all the worries, extra concerns and thoughts with the second one but is it ever a perfect time

I'm feeling the same way, also have a 15mo boy and had hyperemesis for 20 weeks 😩 and worried about how I will cope with 2 under two but also considering trying again as we would like at least one more if we can. It did happen quickly for us last time but doesn't necessarily mean it would this time. Also I'm 33 so thinking sooner the better.

I have a 15 month old also and I just found out I’m 2-3 weeks pregnant last Saturday, you never know your second pregnancy could be completely different, there’s no wrong or right time babe! Just do what you feel is right, I think whatever age, even if you waited till your little one was 4/5.. there will always be difficult moments but think of how amazing it will be too 🤍

Definitely think people fall pregnant faster after they’ve been pregnant I had a miscarriage and didn’t try for three months and it then happened right away and after my first ( pregnant with no2 now ) it happened super quick and I expected it to take longer I’ll have 17 months between my girls. The smaller gaps nice for closeness and the older one is still young enough in the perspective of them not remembering life without them but other people find pros for bigger gap in the thoughts of being a little matured and independent. Whatever works for you and your family 🥰

You try whenever you and your partner is ready it’s both your choice no one else❤️ I’m 29 wks pregnant with baby #2 with a 14 month old I’m scared but happy 💓💓

Do what you feels right. For me personally now wouldn’t be the right time, financially mainly but i also live in a small 2 bed maisonette and my lgs room is smaller than a box room 🙈 so we physically have no room to have another baby or the money to move into a house. But ive always said if i get a house and my lg is of starting school then thats when id maybe try for another. Theres never a right answer so it all comes down to whats right for you :) xx

I’ve been thinking this for a very long time! My son is 14 months and I want him to have a sibling close in age like my partner and I had when we were younger! But my son still wakes several times at night so I’m worried about I’ll cope with that and a new born :( I feel like there will never be a right time lol if it happens it happens just going with the flow I guess ! X

Thanks everyone! I think we will just go with the flow and see what happens! ❤️

Same here, I have a 14 month old and we are considering a second. But I am absolutely petrified on how we are going to cope 😬 also I suffered with extreme fatigue in my first pregnancy for the first 4 months or so and it was tough getting out of bed some days, I don’t know how I’ll manage that with a toddler! But also I want 2 kids! So much to consider. But there’s no right or wrong answer, you do what you think is right for you and your family and make it work

I honestly don’t think there’s any wrong or right time, I’ve got a 15 month old (as of today) and I’m 33 weeks and 5 days pregnant with baby no.2 xx

I said I wanted my little girl going into nursery for me having my second... That worked well 😂 I'm currently 27 weeks with baby number 2.

Not going to lie, I am absolutely shitting myself but they will will grow up together, hopefully be good friends 🤞 and I'm still up through the night and changing nappies ect so why not just ass an extra one into the mix 😅

I believe the first few months will be hard but If you and your partner are ready and you have a good support system around you then you'll be fine 😊 x

I have a 15 month old and a 4 week old and the main issue is the guilt for both babies xx

We knew we wanted another fairly quickly as I’m 36 and didn’t want to leave it too late. Plus our little boy is such an easy going, lovely boy we think we can manage. I fell pregnant without actively trying (just going with the flow) when he was 4 months old so there would have been 13 months difference. Sadly we lost the baby at 3 months but decided to try again and I’m now 6.5mo pregnant and my boy is currently 15mo. There’ll be 18 months difference and it’s not too bad running around after him whilst in third trimester but I definitely need to slow down. I think our only major concern is going to be childcare costs for two of them until vouchers kick in, but we’ll make it work. I think it’s nice to have them close in age as they’ll hopefully be close! Plus I didn’t want to get to school stage with my first and then have to go through newborn stage all over again. It’ll be chaos for a few years but worth it and I didn’t want to risk having any fertility or health issues later xx

My LO is 15 months & I’m now 8 weeks with my second… it’s hard looking after a toddler, working and growing a human along with all the symptoms, especially sickness! but… I’m sure it will all be worth it and the age gap will be under 2 years which we aimed for x
