Looking for support in knowing it’s okay to get excited? We lost our first baby early 7weeks back in February. It felt like it totally wiped me out and took away all of the excitement this time around. I’m now currently 11 weeks with our little Rainbow and I can’t seem to shake the feeling that I’m doing something wrong or “waiting for the ball to drop”. So far all of our appointments have went well, we had our first ultrasound and saw the little heart beat. I thought that would help settle my thoughts but now that feels like so long ago. Waiting between appointments feels like forever. How do you settle your anxiety and know that it’s going to be okay. I feel like it’s not truly sinking in and I feel bad that my excitement comes in waves and overcome with fear and anxiety of the worst happening again. Any advice or suggestions appreciated 🌈💙🩷

I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks in December it is hard, but the more anxious you are about this pregnancy the more stressful your be the doctor can give you something to stop it happening again if needs be

hi beautiful, congratulations on your rainbow baby. i’m really sorry to hear about your previous loss, i can’t imagine how hard that was for you - i have high functioning anxiety and ADHD which led to the most awful anxiety and worries during both of my pregnancies, i’d like to be completely honest and let you know that the worry never came to an end, but i just knew i had to trust God and that He would keep me and my baby safe. i also found keeping busy helped massively, hobbies or work xx

Honestly I never miscarried to my knowledge but my excitement comes in waves to but for the reason that I’m 22 a young mom and Idk what I’m doing and I also get scared constantly about losing her what helped me is having support from my mom and reminding me it’s okay (she’s also extremely intuitive so that helps) m y next appointment is when I am 13 and a half weeks and I’m almost 11 weeks so i get nervous to like really nervous but yeah supportive family helped me or friends cus my friends also tell me it’s okay and stuff to

I really could have written this! I’m hoping that once I get to 12 weeks I’ll give myself permission to be excited. I’m too scared to even look at baby things in stores when I walk past it 🫣

My waves of nausea and constipation just overall pregnancy symptoms are general reminders that my baby is okay and growing. That helps ground me. Also I am keeping busy at Gender Reveal Party Planning.

I’m 100% feeling the same way, totally normal once going through something like that. Here if you need to chat. I also lost 2 before all earlier stages but it does really affect you. I’m trying not to get excited but I also don’t want to not enjoy this feeling, hard one! Sending my love 💗

I so feel this. I keep telling myself that as well. Like I’ll get to the second trimester and hope that helps. I’ve refused to go into a store or near baby stuff. I don’t like feeling like getting my hopes up.

I’m so happy I am not the only one that feels that way. I feel like my symptoms are fading so it makes me nervous then I get a wave of nausea and I’m like okay I get it little bean your still in there. It makes me smile and remember why I’m doing this.
