How soon is to soon to have a first trimester ultrasound. I guess I’m just wondering if you go to soon could they miss something and just see a gestational sack? When do they start to see a fetal pole, yoke sack, etc.
Backstory:
I went for blood work at the end of September I was reading 1-2 weeks pregnant. I just went for a scan Monday and couldn’t find baby, told me if was most likely a miscarriage but sent me for more blood work to confirm. I got my blood work back. It’s been 3 weeks since my last blood work and I’m registering at 4-5 weeks with this last round of bloodwork…. If you do the math with my last set of blood work it would add up that I “ should” be 4-5 weeks based on the last set of blood work. Could it be to early that they didn’t see anything or am I just hanging onto faith that doesn’t exist ….

Usually they can't see anything on an ultrasound until at least 6 weeks or at least that was what my midwife told me. So yes it could possibly be too early hoping for the best.
