Don’t mind todays work selfie. But I wanted to share what’s been going on recently.
1. My skin is going crazy! Found out I was allergic to adhesive on bandages and now with the weather changing I have dry skin patches all over. I’m so irritated because wearing clothes or anything touching my skin irritates me.
2. Emotions! I have been very emotional lately, literally tears and the feeling of a child getting their feelings hurt by a parent when my spouse upsets me or doesn’t understand what I’m going through.
3. Tired!! I have been feeling like a bear that’s about to hibernate! Working full time, being a mom, being a coach and a life time anemic is starting to take a toll.
4. Heartburn and the constant feeling like I can’t breathe at night. I’ve had heartburn since I was about 12 weeks but now it seems to be so unbearable. I can never get comfortable enough to sleep with having to sit up every hour.
And 5. Migraines! I have a history of chronic headaches due to a past cheerleading accident but never in life have I had them this bad and ongoing. Can’t really take the good stuff being pregnant so I kinda just deal or use to cold compress over my eyes or neck.

I came just to vent to other mommies because lately it feels like no one understands, and this app is like a open diary journal. Just the feeling of not being alone helps my mental state so much 😭

Awww sorry to hear this!! You aren’t alone! It’s that time again (winter allergies due to weather changes) and all the horrors of tje 3rd trimester!!

I know this seems dumb but count from 5 to 1 for the temper. It’s been helping me a lot! I did snap on a few people my first trimester.
Heartburn - tums and more tums! & don’t eat within a few hours of bed
Sleeping - sleep elevated (more pillows etc)

The rest of the moms can weigh in! We are all in there with you!!

My migraines have been horrible too!
And my emotions are out of control. You are not alone mama! I keep telling myself that it's normal and the 3rd trimester is supposed to suck lol. We're almost there!

Heey girrl, ik am not a doctor but i also had headaches from week 10 till 25 , a friend suggested i stop taking the prenatals coz for her that was the cause for headaches, eventually i stopped and am on week 29 and i feel as normal as ever and my headaches gone. Am not advising you to stop but maybe try and if you do talk to tour doc about it. Nothing helped at all with my nheadaches even with the 2 times ave been to the Er , so this worked for me.

I'm also allergic to most band-aid adhesives 😭 I can't do anything waterproof or strong. My hands have been so dry and chapped too recently but I swear by the Vaseline Healthy Hands Stronger Nails hand cream for instant relief

yeah I had to cut down on the vitamins for various reasons but yes we are almost to the end!!

Hi girly, I have also had a difficult pregnancy. I saw a neurologist for the migraines and I take Tylenol (which is the only over the counter you’re allowed to) and add in 1/2-1 pill propranolol if it’s extremely bad! It’s been very helpful. The migraines clear up pretty quickly then.
For the acid reflux, I take the over the counter from Costco with 20mg famotidine that helps pretty quickly (tums and stuff like that do nothing for me). Did your doctor give you a list of drugs that are ok while pregnant? I’ll see if I can add it here somehow…

How many of you had your c sections rescheduled?

So I'm choosing to have a c section this time around because I had an emergency c section after being induced last time. That was less than 2 years ago so I don't think it's a good idea to try again. I'm really nervous it's gonna be rescheduled bcs I have my sister taking time off work to help me out with the baby in the hospital since my husband will have to go home to be with our toddler at night. Also my husband starts his leave on that day so I don't want him to lose any more days. So I'm just wondering how common this is. I'm in the US in NJ

How many of you feel like you've aged rapidly since having kids?

I am feeling pretty bummed because lately I've been noticing just how much I've aged in the last few years since having my first kid. Even just in the last year and a half since having my second. My skin looks terrible, has more wrinkles, and somehow looks both dry and oily at the same time. My posture is horrible and my boobs are like a couple of massive fried eggs. I feel like I went from girlhood to bog witch just so fast. I know that it's my own fault for having kiddos so close together with no family around to support. I don't take care of myself like I should. But lawd HOW on earth am I supposed to find the energy? And what even is a pregnancy friendly skincare routine supposed to look like? I only ever needed to shower every other day and maybe wash my face once or twice a week to look good. Now something has changed and I look like hot garbage on a stick the next day after a good shower. Anybody else? Is this just motherhood in our 30's?

Unwell after sweep

I’ve had a sweep earlier today, lost the mucus plug about a couple hours later. Got period type cramping immediately, I hadn’t even left the midwife appointment yet. I have contractions and permanent back cramping, alongside waves of nausea - which is a combination I’m struggling with as I feel quite unwell. Nowhere near labour, as I’ve had 6 contractions in the span of 3 hours or so. A midwife told me sweeps cause really bad cramping, so I assumed it was normal. But just want to check if there’s anybody out there in a similar boat? Should I be calling the hospital to check if it’s all normal?
