Any advice please I’m 13+1 and I’ve been having extremely bad pains in my lower back/hip/bum on the right side to the point I’ve been taking paracetamol with Codiene. Can anyone suggest what it might be?

Ouch! Sorry to hear! Talk to your doctor of course. You also might want to look up spinning babies and try their training/ stretching routine.

Try some swimming and yoga. Worked wonders for me

yeah I’m going to call them tomorrow as when it starts it hurts to even get out of bed

Have you got a pregnancy pillow yet? That definitely helped me, I’ve also been doing hydrotherapy which has helped ALOT x

yes I do! It only hurts in the evenings. Going to go swimming over the weekend

I saw an Osteopath for my pelvic pain during pregnancy. She even specialized in pregnancy and postpartum care. I was almost limping constantly and couldn’t put on my boots without sitting down and dealing with some pain. After one treatment I could hop on one leg! Amazing what they can do

Sounds like Sciatica! It's really common in pregnancy. Trying to stretch it can help, otherwise look up massages for it. My husband used to use our massage gun on it and it helped a lot

I went to see my orthopedic doc who prescribed PT and I went to PT for the second half of my pregnancy, it was a game changer. I still dealt with instances of not being able to put weight on my legs sometimes, but he gave me stretches and exercises to do to relieve the pain in the moment. Everyone is different but my instability was caused by weak glutes so my PT routine consisted of clamshells, bridges and squats, etc.
