contractions or cramping?

getting intense lower belly cramping and can feel it into my vaginal area, i had a membrane sweep yesterday after being told i was only 1.5 cm dilated and she didn’t expect labor to happen before next week
i’ve had 3 BM so far today as well
FTM so i’m not sure if what im feeling is cramps from the sweep, more intense braxton hicks, or if it’s real contractions now. definitely the most intense cramping feeling i’ve had so far

I had a sweep at 4:30 pm and woke up to contractions at 5:15 am the next day. I was 2 cm dilated at the sweep so definitely time your contractions and see if they’re steady and getting closer together. They definitely feel like bad period cramps and will increase in frequency and intensity. If they stop then it’s likely Braxton Hicks. Hope that helps!

They felt like really bad period cramps at first but then got more organized and intense. I had the “period intense” cramps for about 3 hours and then my water broke and things escalated from there

i decided to start timing them around 330 so hopefully i’ll fall under the same timeline as yours😩 it’s hard to differentiate the pains from my normal IBS pains and i’ve gone 4 times now since 11am so i just thought the pains were from that but they are definitely beginning to feel a bit different

I’m 37 weeks and I’m due on 6th April. I’m having an elective c section and haven’t been given my date yet, is anyone else in this situation? X

Unwell after sweep

I’ve had a sweep earlier today, lost the mucus plug about a couple hours later. Got period type cramping immediately, I hadn’t even left the midwife appointment yet. I have contractions and permanent back cramping, alongside waves of nausea - which is a combination I’m struggling with as I feel quite unwell. Nowhere near labour, as I’ve had 6 contractions in the span of 3 hours or so. A midwife told me sweeps cause really bad cramping, so I assumed it was normal. But just want to check if there’s anybody out there in a similar boat? Should I be calling the hospital to check if it’s all normal?

Phantom pain

So I had an emergency C-section and it's been already 6 months and there is days that I feel a really sharp stabbing pain reoccurring is that normal Am I just going crazy

39 Week Induction Being Pushed On

Went to my 36 week appointment today and my OB was pushing for a 39 week induction.

I want a natural spontaneous labor but my OB kept pushing for the induction even if I’m low risk and healthy. Is anyone else experiencing this?

6 weeks pp no cervical check?

Hey yall! I had an emergency C-Section 6 weeks ago after my bp was sky high with baby boy at 39 week appt. Went for my 6 week pp appt today and all she did was look at my incision sight and said I was good to go. Is this normal?? Is it actually ok to use tampons/menstrual cups now??
