Baby not imitating !

We’re in the same boat, my baby has waved only a few times and still not clapping either, turns 11 months in 3 days! I’m not too worried just yet but I think if he’s still not doing either by the time he’s 1 I’ll speak to the HV

Hi mines the same, he's a waved a couple of times but no clapping yet. He's 11 months next week

I didn't even know that it was important for them to be doing these things by now? Iv recently starting clapping when I praise my LG and she watches and smiles at me so I'm sure she will pick it up eventually but how big a deal is it?

yeah, I think I'll do the same. My baby did not even waved once. He just smiles whenever I tell him to clap or wave.

oh okay, hope they start doing it soon.

Not sure, but mostly everywhere it is mentioned that they start doing it between 9-12 months. My baby has completed 11 months and there is no sign of him imitating but lets hope they start it soon.

Same here and also a very active baby! I think his priorities have just been crawling then walking. I’m not concerned yet but will speak to the HV if he’s still not doing it by the 13mth visit
