I’ve heard of this! I saw on the news that a mom fed some of the nitramogen hypoallergenic one and it had maggots as well.
When you say days how many days?

Is the formula expired? Has it been stored properly?

It's normal I forgot a bottle of breastmilk under the couch found it a week and a half later with maggots I just threw it away because I don't do bugs but I think it's caused by the humidity and moisture I'd say just throw the bottle away

maybe a week

no, it’s not expired I left about 2 oz sitting for some days and found maggots in it. I can’t recall how many days it’s been sitting… I was so grossed out and wanted to cry 🥲

thanks girly!

omg, were they a lot?

Yes, obviously any food that is left out for days can attract flies that will eventually reproduce larvae. What's the question?

I would definitely throw the bottle away. I'm not drinking out of anything that had maggots in it and neither is my baby. Idc if it was a $50 bottle lol. 🤢

How are you leaving bottles with milk in for days? Are you not cleaning them everyday and getting rid of unused milk to stop bacteria growth? Don't mean to sound judgey here at all but everytime my baby has a bottle and she's finished I empty left Iver milk and rinse the bottle then sterilise them all together later on

I've done it by accident when we've been away from the house. Left it on my car bc it fell out of the diaper bag pocket 😅 I've definitely had day when I left bottles overnight too just bc I didn't feel up to going through the whole cleaning process by the time baby FINALLY went to sleep. It happens. I personally just wouldn't use that bottle anymore. Although it would be perfectly safe still as long as it was cleaned and sterilized

kinda I don't do bugs so after I noticed it went straight to the trash

I have multiple bottles Karen

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
