So sorry in advance for the long winded post …
So I’ve been DF & SF since my little one was about 4-5 weeks . Always EBF. His initial symptom was inconsolable crying and reflux which improved almost overnight after cutting dairy/soy. We “challenged” 6 weeks later with yoghurt for a week. No return of the screaming and crying however randomly seemed to stop doing number 2s for about 4 days - which was very unusual for him. His poos had been mucousy for as long as I can’t remember however after the challenge and brief constipation they returned normal - no more mucous…
Anyway, I took it that this sudden change in bowel habit could either gut just maturing and coincidence or a reaction to the dairy. I didn’t have any more dairy going forward and his bowels started back daily - looking less mucousy. 2 weeks later review appt with paediatric consultant. He says doesn’t sound like allergy anymore and ti just go fit it eating dairy….
I was planning to wait one more week just till after his imms however I was served food with a tiny drizzle of tzatziki on yesterday…I thought I would just eat it given we were going ti reintroduce dairy anyway. So , baby fine in himself since however just had a mucousy nappy today -first one in ages. Again, coincidence or is something going on?
Im just not sure I the paediatrician as he said the only thing he would class as a reaction would be the return of the screaming. Anyway I’m at an absolute loss and unsure what to do. I just know this dr isn’t a specialist in allergies however he said he had lots of experience in that area. What do I do going forward?
Any advice appreciated

Do you still have access to the dr to ask about this mucous nappy?
I think I would follow drs advice and continue with dairy and monitor for more symptoms. If it is an allergy they will get worse ?
