Hey 👋 so I originally wanted to go the midwife route cause I wanted a natural vaginal birth but all the midwives for the hospitals I wanted are full 🙈 I know I am going to need a referral to an ob soon but trying to find one in toronto that is pro natural birth and not super pushy about medical intervention if not absolutely necessary. Let me know your experiences and hospitals they are at?

I had planned an elective c-section but would have needed one regardless as little boy was stubbornly breach.
My OB was Dr Noor Ladhani at Sunnybrook—she’s pro whatever you want for birth unless there’s a medical necessity and honestly she was wonderful. I highly recommend her and the clinic at Sunnybrook if that’s in your area
Sunnybrook was one of the hospitals I was looking at. Thank you!

I see Dr. Mackenzie from Michael Garron Hospital she is not pushy at all and takes the time in each appointment to answer questions. She also doesn’t rush appointments at all. I love her!

They ALL prefer natural birth and try to avoid c-sections.
They will do everything to get you into natural birth rather a surgery.
Where are you getting the info that will push you into a c-section if not necessary?

Have you looked into midwife + the Toronto birth center? I checked it out before and the place is really nice but I ultimately decided home births with my midwife.
The 3 midwives places i contacted are booked up for my due date. I have an appointment with sn ob at sunnybrook so I guess I'll see how that goes
