My child’s father has another daughter who’s 11 years old; she had a cold all week and hasn’t been able to see her little sister (2weeks old). Today her father brought her to my house anyway and I refused to allow her to see her. I was so upset that he had her in the apartment at all! And now it seems I’m the “bad guy”. . . I told him we can FaceTime and I can send pics of her!

You are not wrong. I wouldn’t allow anyone with a cold near my newborn. Wtf is wrong with him
yes! I said the same thing! I couldn’t understand why he would risk it!!
Exactly! The thought of her getting sick is terrifying! And as the weather continues to change I will be limiting visitors even more! But I love the mask Idea! I am going to require it as well!

Just curious what would you do if you had a biological older child living in the house that was sick. That’s his child too and maybe she really wanted to be around her dad. If you were sick or he was sick I don’t think either one of you would tell the other not to come in the house. By all means limit the exposure because you want to protect your baby but also be mindful that she might of needed her father at this time.
he doesn’t live with me. I live in an apartment with my newborn. He lives in his own apartment about 5min drive away. Maybe I could have made that clearer in the initial post.

Gotcha! I misread, then that’s on him. The introduction could have waited.
exactly! I had to explain to him that I would act the same way of it were my child who was sick and could get everyone else sick!

Nooo no no. He's wrong. For all you know it could be RSV and it could kill you baby. Tell him he needs to use his frickin brain.
