Maternity leave and sick leave

Is anyone else due the first week or two of March? If so, when are you planning on going on sick leave or mat leave?

Due March second and not as young as I was with my first two, I worked with my second right up until I had him, but I had a lot more energy at 20 than I do at 27 😅. This time, I want to enjoy some time beforehand to decompress from work and have time to make sure everything is ready. But I'm stumped. Idk if it's worth noting, but my work is laying me off as soon as I got on mat leave, so im not even sure if I can take sick leave before i take mat leave.

Hey, I’m due march 3rd 👶🏽🩷 I’ve got 20 days annual leave so I’m planning to start my maternity leave 1 month before so 3rd February then use my annual leave which works out my last day should be 23rd December. I have up to an hour drive to get to work and do 12 hour shifts 😫so I want to try and finish asap xxx

That's such a long drive mama 😭 But that's so nice! I was kind of thinking mid Jan or end of Jan. I want to try and make a full paycheck while I can, but im also so burnt out working right now.

I'm due the 27th of February and starting to consider going off the last week of January/first week of February, I don't really want to be working until my due date, its a 40 minute drive to work and I'm on my feet the majority of the day so also taking that into consideration

I'm due on March 7th - I'm planning on taking mat leave from March 4th but getting in 2-3 weeks of annual leave before that.

I’m due 12th March and planning on 2 weeks maternity beforehand. I have an extra day or two of annual leave to carry over and use just before May leave so will get just over 2 weeks to get organised and settled.

Unless I get a doctor’s note, I can’t start my leave until I go into labor LOL #TeacherInAmerica
