Fatigue after egg retrieval (not transfer)

Fatigue and bloating are normal post retrieval! Drink lots of water. Constipation was also very real for me after retrieval and I’m sure others will mention the same. Our bodies go through so much during the retrieval process.

About a week post retrieval I had a huge wave of fatigue for about 2 days, I didn’t experience any fatigue during the injection phase. Take the rest you need, your body has just been pushed.

I had collection on a Friday and spent the rest of the weekend mostly in bed because of fatigue, bloating and sore boobs. Because of the meds, unfortunately it doesn’t get much better after…

Have you been checked out for OHSS? The bloating and tiredness might be a mild case.

It is normal to feel bloated and wiped after a retrieval though - your hormones are all over the place. Like someone else said, the constipation is real - so that could be making you feel run down and sluggish too.

It took me 2 full weeks to come back to normal-ish. Let your body heal and take your time. I hear some people take 2 days but everyone is different, take it easy and listen to your body. Also some reassurance, it does get better and you will feel normal again but it takes some time!

I haven’t been checked out yet. I just got my period, so I’m going in on Sunday.

Same here! I wasn’t expecting the post retrieval to be worse than the stims! I’m only starting to feel more myself now that my period is here.
