3 year sleep regression?

Is this a thing? My wee boy was 3 a couple of weeks ago, and since then bedtime and during the night have been a nightmare. He takes forever to go to bed, and is now waking up 3/4 times a night, coming through to our room and just shouting/screaming and refusing to go back to bed! He’s always been a great sleeper, but has hit EVERY sleep regression there’s been! I’m absolutely exhausted, and we have a 14 week old to add into the mix too. Anyone else experience this and have any hints/tips? His 2 year regression lasted more than 3 months, and I don’t think I can go through that again … 🥺

Does he nap? If he does, I'd stop it. Have you tried gro clock? Maybe a sticker chart for staying in bed. Or for bed time.

No, he hasn’t napped since about 18months and we have an Oli the Owl clock (which I think is similar). We’ve not tried stickers yet, so that’s an idea

Omg this is my daughter! Always been a great sleeper and slept independently in her own room. I’ve narrowed it down to the clocks changing and the nights being longer. Because this time last year when she’d just turned 2 she was scared of the dark and shadows and bedtime. And it’s happening again at the same time a year later. We are doing what we did last year, doing the bedtime routine but then leaving the room. She’ll scream and get angry and we go in to reassure her we’re around but leave again. And we leave her by herself for 10-15 mins, go in again to reassure her and then leave her for 10-15 mins again. It’s a 30-40 min ordeal before she’ll go back to sleep and it lasts 3-4 days before she realises it’s time for bed and they won’t lie down with me. It does break our hearts but we have a 5 month old in the mix now too and my nights are horrible as it is. We would lie down with her but she takes 2 hours to fall asleep if we’re around so we have to have to hold onto our sanity.
