Other people’s toys 🤣

Sadly, the stupidest ones. The Vtech ones where you push buttons and they start talking and playing music. The polar opposite of the Montessori approach - but what can we do?! 😀

Anything that includes making mess keeps him busy for longer 🫠

a mini trampoline

Wooden kitchen with some wooden fruit and pots and pans

tell me about it 😂 I just need some time to crack on with house work my little one always has to get involved with what I’m doing 🙈🤣

aww have these already for his first birthday so novelty worn off with it 🙈🤣

good shout!!

any suggestions 🤣 preferably something I can leave him to it so I can get on with house work 🤣

I bought these pompoms that have tinsel on them from Poundland. They keep him busy as he pulls each strand of tinsel out. It goes all over the floor bt very easy to vacuum up so I don’t mind lol. I give him one at a time when I need to get on with something

something mine would do! I’ll be heading tan Poundland tomorrow 🤣

I gave my boy some pasta spirals & a few of his stacking containers, he played quietly with them for a good 20 mins just pouring the pasta from container to another lol

Oh yes I give my son spaghetti and a colander to poke them through but recently he’s gone off that

I realised that my toddler wasn’t really playing with any of her toys any more so I’ve basically removed them all (left a few favourites) and now set up tuff trays instead. I do one for the day, maybe for 2 days depending on how interested she is in it. Nothing complicated (just had a baby and don’t want a big clean up!). Those Pom Pom’s above were great with a few different bowls/cups and spoons. Another I just cut out loads of stars from different coloured paper. I also have grouped her toys into themes so the past two days she’s had ‘towers’ to build from her blocks, cubes and duplo. Might be a little extra effort but overall less mess, more engaging and she’s actually playing with her toys!

Balance bike, any light up/noisy cars or trucks, balls.. but honestly he prefers us chasing him around the house and rough play 😩 we don’t get a break

I’ve dedicated a cupboard in the kitchen for unbreakable / light / safe stuff for her to play with. Keeps her busy while I cook. Other than that, the busy book.

A socket set🤦 literally anything she shouldn't have🤣

My LG loves her wooden fruit and veg set, the ones you can chop up. She also loves dolls. We’ve got a newborn so she copies me and tries to breast feed it and change its nappy (so cute 🥰). She follows me around a lot when I’m trying to do housework - I tend to let her ‘help’ me. It takes a bit longer to do what I need to but she loves it! We bought a toddler tower, if I put her Bibado on put a bit of water in the sink she’ll happily play about for a good 30 mins with the water and some utensils!
