RSV Abrysvo Vaccine

I got it in St Louis, MO at a Walgreens pharmacy. I did need a prescription here but I think that varies by US state. The first time I went to get it, I hadn’t made an appointment Bc the website didn’t have it available, so they wouldn’t give it. I made an appointment for the next day (the website had updated) but when I went back, they didn’t have the correct vaccine. They had Abrexy, which is only approved for 60+. But they were able to see that another location in my same city had it available so I made an appointment there later the same day and got it! My insurance (US employer based) did cover it, I didn’t pay anytning.

Most insurances don’t cover it yet and it’s over $300 even at Costco

I did not need a prescription and it was fully covered by my insurance (I have Tricare, I'm sure every insurance is different). I was able to just walk in to Costco and receive the vaccination right away. I am in South Dakota.

Thanks all. I don't mind paying out of pocket. I don't think my Canadian insurance will cover it. But I don't know how to get access to American doctors for a prescription. But based on what I've read, WA shouldn't need a prescription for this vaccine. So I'm going to call Costco to confirm and go for it.

@Kami she clearly doesn't feel the same way, and would like to receive the vaccine. She was asking for input from those of us who have gotten it or who plan to. This comment doesn't make sense here.
