did anyone who suffered with pgp during pregnancy still have it post partum? im 2 months pp nearly and the pelvic pain has literally gotten worse since having my baby! walking is near impossible, even just laying in bed in certain positions or sitting upright can really cause me so much pain that paracetamol and ibuprofen can’t even touch😭😭😭 did anyone else have an issue like this and speak to the gp about it? did they do anything?😭 or did it resolve on its own with time? i was under the impression it would go away once i gave birth but it’s only gotten worse!😭

I’m 4 months pp and can’t seem to get any help for it at all, I knew it wouldn’t go away after giving birth as I was referred to physios and support team while pregnant, but I expected help after I’d had him, yet I’ve had nothing. It’s disgusting🤷♀️

I'm just over 8 months PP and still have it. I wear a support belt (https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07FDJ7S4Q?ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_dp_WFE87ATRKB99XKEA88QA&starsLeft=1&language=en-GB) which helps me to get out walking OK, but I'm beginning to realise I'll probably not be able to exercise properly or run anymore 😢 Although it is significantly better than it was in the third trimester of my pregnancy. Hoping to hear some positive stories in response to your post to give us all some hope! 🥰

😿💔 i’m so sorry girl, we deserve better 😭

thanks so much for the link i will definitely go get that! my friends mom did say that it wouldn’t go away until im finished breastfeeding because breastfeeding keeps that hormone in your body. have you heard anything like this before?😭

No problem - I hope the belt helps you a bit too! I do a lot of walking now and can't do it without my belt (well technically I can still walk plenty without it now but I get a lot of pain/discomfort afterwards!).
Ahhh I exclusively breastfeed but no I haven't heard that before. I've just done a bit of internet research and that might be right. Gosh I hope that's true! I know that they say it's the hormone relaxin which causes the problems with the pelvis during pregnancy, and I'd heard it can remain at increased levels until 12 months PP. I hope it's linked to breastfeeding though as that gives me some hope (although I'm hoping to breastfeed until she's at least 2, so it's still a long way off!) x

I’m 4 months pp and it’s still there and has gotten so much worse. Doctors seem to think I’m making it up and won’t help me

I’m 9 months PP and it’s just resurfaced. I have no idea why, and I’m not sure what to do. If I go to the GP I imagine I’ll just get given pain killers which I don’t want. Between sciatica and pgp I’ve had enough 🙃
