Not walking yet 👀

Mine just started walking.her physical milestones wer delayed n her paediatrician asked me to calm down n said if by 1 year she doesn’t pull her up aided den maybe a physiotherapist may help. But theyll get there. U may talk to the paediatrician if ur worried

My boy is 15m and can’t hold himself unaided yet! He’s wanting to walk with us but no where near walking on his own! He has always been on the late scale for milestones but does always reach them I think it’s 18m we should worry a bit more

No I don’t think there’s meant to be any concerns until 18m+ with walking. My girl literally this week (15.5 months) is starting to want to try and take steps but has been very uninterested until now. I know she’ll get there in her own time

My LB isn’t walking or standing unaided yet. Health visitor said not to worry as it doesn’t become a concern until they are 18 months. I used to get really stressed out trying to encourage my boy to do things so I’m trying to relax more now and let him do things in his own time. He has just started to take steps holding his push a long walker, does your LO have anything like that? Might help encourage her 🤷🏻‍♀️ x

I don’t think you should be worried. And yes, absolutely encourage her but only with what she’s willing to do. Up until a few weeks ago my boy (currently 15 months) wouldn’t even want to have his hands held to help him try walking, I’d go as far as to say he hated it, so we stopped trying and waited for him to show us he was ready. Now he asks to be walked around and is starting to get up and stand on his on and taking a few tentative steps. All babies are different but it sounds like she’s starting to show interest which is great.
For context, I have a friend who’s baby was 13 months old and hadn’t even started crawling…. He’s 6 now and we can rarely find him because he’s always running off 😆

Ooh dw mine is 15 months and is the same he will walk along furniture and and takes a few steps on the cot but on the floor he won't even Stand or even attempt to walk I was getting worried as I felt like he was the only one not walking but the health visitor said it's normal some babies do it later than others

Nope. Mine isn’t either. He cruises all round the furniture but that’s it. I’m not worried. He didn’t crawl til he was one and now he zooms all round. He’ll get there !

We are in exactly the same position. I feel like it’s lack of confidence. Whenever she stands for a brief period or attempts to take a step we clap and make a big fuss which she seems to love

Hey, my litle girls 15months and not walking yet she stands on her own and holds on to funiture and has taking the odd step but im sure she get there soon.

Thank you all for your messages. It's reassuring that I'm not alone, as I was questioning whether I was doing something wrong. I’ll continue to encourage her without adding pressure. Whenever she makes an attempt herself I’ll continue to cheer and make a fuss. Our LOs will get there 🙏🏾
