Get your partner to do as much as can for you just now. I had a emergency section with my wee boy I stayed on top of my pain killers and I didn't walk around much for the first few days and I had my partner hand my little boy to me for feeds ect.. Try using a footstool to rest your feet on when going to the bathroom this will take a lot of the pressure of your stitches. The best thing to do is rest. I wasn't able to take the pram out and go walking until week 4/5 and it was just small walks to build up.
Definitely get your partner to do more things. Mine even helped me wash and clean myself for about 3 weeks after my c-section…. And yes he did wipe my bum when I struggled. Very important to stay on top of your pain medication. I found rolling on to my side at the edge of the bed and then pushing myself into a seated position the pushing to stand worked best. Mint tea really helps with wind xx
I took 2 ibuprofen and 2 paracetamol at the same time and then 4 hours later I took a codeine and alternated this every 4 hours, this is what the hospital gave me when I was in! I didn’t even know you could take ibuprofen and paracetamol together until the hospital gave it me I thought they were overdosing me lol🤣 totally worked tho! Always keep on top of your pain meds, if you miss a dose that’s when it gets painful! I was quite sore for a few days I couldn’t even straighten up to walk but you soon get back to normal! I also slept practically sat up so I wasn’t lay down it’s easier to get up and recommend peppermint tea for the wind works an absolute treat and works within minutes! xx
Do extra strength Tylenol then 3 hours later take 2 ibuprofen it helps! As far as getting out of bed I would just get a step stool if it’s too high for you and don’t want to climb. As far as coming baby up there’s sadly not much you can do about that…
