As an example I moved from Leicester to an old mining town in Derbyshire that’s known for being racist many many years ago.. however it still is.. when I first moved here i got half cut cans thrown at me and my son in the pushchair .. I got refused on a bus journey a week ago stating that there wasn’t enough space despite there only being 2 pushchairs.. when 3-4 can normally fit.


So yes there is a lot of racism but the good people outweigh the bad x

I currently live in Tamaside and work at school.I have been called unpleasant names and school is not doing anything about.I often don't get emails because they say they can't find my surname or don't know how to spell it.We all are being trained at the moment and I'm the only one who didn't get an email or offered training.Something isn't right and I m not sure what to do about it.i have always tried to make an effort with everyone but it kind of affected my mentally,my self esteem etc.

you can be white and experience racism. Yes it’s not as common or talked about but would you say calling a white person a “cracker” for example racist because this insult is based on the colour of their skin

This meaning white peoples can also experience this, although it’s not common or spoken about much as it’s a much much much smaller issue than the racism against POC it can still happen

no you’re not getting my point are you. just because it doesn’t seem as offensive to you doesn’t mean it’s not offensive. You said that as a POC you can not be racist. However you’re wrong that’s the point I’m making. I literally said it’s not common and it’s a much smaller issue than racism agains POC you completely ignored everything I said and are trying to make this a competition which is ridiculous

At sabz I am white but not British I guarantee you I will never get a leadership role or opportunities "pure" British get no matter what.I am isolated at work and I have been called racist names and there's nothing I can do about it because it's not such a big deal..rasism and prejudice feels the same for everyone who ever experienced it no matter what background...and also there are people from other ethnic backgrounds in this country in leadership so it can happan..

Yes, yes it Is. As a mixed race girl I can tell you that people are too fixated with what is on the surface and need to realise that we are actually all human deep down. Even on the streets today people are screaming hate towards arabs and Jews, I'm fed up of it all. It all hurts. The segregation of it all and the demonising of other races. I know a Russian friend of mine who received hate because they are Russian! They are not putin, she's an accountant at a pet store. 😔 Honestly the world would be a much better place if people thought of each other as humans from the same planet instead of enemies from their least favourite countries

AT Kate I think it's very sad.. I think government is very good at creating this segregation and hate between people.

Eh yeah. I have just moved into a rural community in yorkshire where people speak hatefully towards other races. I was very shocked having moved here from Scotland. The things they say disgust me and I'd never heard people say such racist stuff in Scotland
