How long should I wait to breastfeed after smoking a joint?

You can breastfeed whenever you want. I’m breastfeeding my son for almost 3 years and i smoke every day.

I’m not sure but there’s studies out there that say it’s not harmful to the baby. It also depends on how much you have been in taking which sounds like none before last night. Maybe think of it like trying to get clean for a test for a job? Just drink lots of water and don’t eat anything that is super fatty? I hope this helps!

Yes i did, i even smoked in labor so technically since the beginning lol
I’m also a lactation consultant and a birth doula. I work with newborns and moms all the time.

you should not worry so much. Don't stop feeding your baby, isn’t necessary to throw away the milk. When you decide to smoke, just take the precaution of washing your hands well, changing your clothes… but ur milk is fine

I just had my babygirl and I’m really wanting to just take a hit of a blunt . I do breast feed and I’m worried about her being tested at her dr appointment is this something i should be worried about ? Im in non legal state and dont know how it works
