Can anyone help me out let me know your schedule . I have 6 week old boys born at 37 weeks. We’re having trouble getting them to sleep. We start feeding, they’ll get sleepy, we change them and then they’re just up. We tried giving a little extra formula and they’ll get sleepy but still stay up. We tried rocking, rockaroo and still stay up.
Also I have tried everything but they keep getting diaper rashes. I change diapers 16 times a day each baby, I use aquaphor, diaper rash cream, air dry their privates and changed to cotton pampers. The rash keeps coming back!! I’m a first time mom any help is appreciated!

Hi. Sorry to hear the challenges. I have a 3 week old baby girl. Not having the same issues but sometimes what I do is I feed her half the bottle, change her, burp her, then feed the rest the bottle to help her sleep. So that she’s not stimulated or upset from the rash. She also has a little rash. It comes and goes. Little inflamed. I been playing around with A&D, triple paste, and butt paste. My friend today was telling me zinc oxide diaper creams work the best. I guess a higher percentage of zinc in it. But I would definitely also reach out to the pediatrician for support too. I hope they get some sleep so you can sleep too.

They young they need contact sleep let them lay on you until they dose off and lay them in something with ya shirt they need ya scent need to feel like u around I do that with my daughter and I give her a bath every night at 12:30 feed her at 1AM she sleeps through the whole night don’t wake until 7AM

Hi, I’m a first time mom also. But here is what has worked (most of the time) for me when baby wakes up:
- Move her legs (bicycle) and bend her at her waist to help her poop or pass gas before changing her
- Change diaper when I’m confident she’s gotten everything clear
- If she has a blow out, skip the wipes entirely (even sensitive wipes have surfactants/alcohols/etc) and just give her a bath. This usually happens 2-3x per week. So I don’t plan her baths, I do them when there’s a blow out. It also helps relax her.
- if she’s not immediately fussy then: talk to her, shake her toy, read to her, use stimulus high contrast cards (babies can also cry from boredom)
- Breast feed with her head higher than her stomach (I’ve noticed that breast milk from the bottle does not have the same effect with out a lot of extra steps (close contact, lots of holding after, etc)
- I STOPPED burping her. If she passed out, I let her pass out. She also spit up less and grunted less.
- Slowly move into crib

Buy Tubby Todd diapers rash for her

Top tips for nappy rash:
Water wipes
Always dry babies bottom area after wiping clean with a soft cotton cloth
Always use a barrier cream, bepantham is the best, Sudocream is the worst and can make the rash more severe
Metanium cream - if there is a rash, use this cream first and then it the barrier cream (bepantham) on the top
Puppy training pads - get loads of these and you can always lay them on them to sleep with no nappy time to get air to the area
For sleep:
Sounds like they aren’t settling and maybe it’s because they aren’t getting enough milk? You could try as someone said 30ml, burp, 30ml, burp up to 100ml and then keep them close and upright for 20mins.
It’s all trial and error in these early days. We are in the trenches, but I promise it starts to get a lot easier and a semblance of a routine will appear from 3ish months! Xx

During the day I feed my boy then I change him to get him to stay a little for daytime and some tummy time. During the nights I’ll change him and feed him after since feeding him makes him sleepy. For the diaper rash you can put some breast milk on it I heard to help clear it up. I’ve been using breast milk on his baby acne and eyes. I heard you can make a milk bath and it will help get rid of the diaper rash.

Get a cream with a high zinc percentage! That's what her doctor said, and the 40% sample we got really helped her after her first visit. Butt Paste is one brand and it's good but I realized I don't like the smell and want to get more of the kind they gave us. I still have to search for the jar to see what it was. It's very thick, which explains why it works so well as a barrier.

Ok so my baby is five weeks old and I try to give her contact sleep i.e. my chest after I fed her and changed her diaper but she still will be fussy and won’t go to sleep🥺 it’s like sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn’t.

try doing the shhhhhhhh noise too calmly in her ear and rock her she’s gonna be so calm I promise u . I’m like the baby whisperer 😂

Change their diaper before a feeding
