Watching her brother’s vaccinations

I may be overthinking this but my childcare has had to cancel on me today due to illness which means I need to take my daughter with me when her brother has his 16 week jabs.

I’ve tried to avoid her seeing it as I thought it would be upsetting and she wouldn’t understand.

I can’t decide if I explain to her what’s happening before we go in, or just sit her on a chair with my phone when it’s happening and just reassure her that her brother is ok and it’s medicine that he needs. Perhaps do both?

What would you do?

I would say definitely over thinking it, just explain that they are to help and she once had them when she was a baby. Kids are resilient. Hope all goes well

I think both. My little one is so much more ok about things when I explain to him beforehand, and then you can explain during if need be too.

Tell her what is happening. Depends on the child too. My daughter saw my youngest having jabs and was really concerned for her but more because of the reaction. She got over it though :)
