This is going to sound like a really silly question but I haven’t seen a health visitor since my baby was 2 months old… hes now 9 months and due a review… will I get into trouble or accused of neglect for not making an appointment regularly with a health visitor to get him weighed or measured and stuff? I didn’t even know this was something they expect you to do 🫣

No they tell you when they want to see you it's usually in the first few months then nothing till 1 years old. Don't worry we don't allow health visitors to have contact with our son due to dangerous advice re his allergy so you won't be in trouble

Also for weights and height they all tell you it's available at children's centres to do it there so they really don't care if you have or haven't
thank you! I’m so nervous as he has a bad teething nappy rash at the moment too so overthinking and worrying about it all 🤦🏼♀️🙈

No it’s an optional service .. it’s not mandatory. Obviously if you had concerns you would have got them weighed or called them or a gp but if you didn’t then your all good

They won't care about any of that they'll help you if you need the help etc. like Kirsty has said it's optional we've declined from 4 weeks old to have any contact and our second is due April may time next year and we've agreed for the first midwife visit my two visits I'll have for my c section management from the midwife then the one visit from the hv st 4 weeks and then will be declining care further on from that due to the bad experience and we will be given the same one unless she quits before then.
Honestly lovely I wouldn't worry c

It's actually an optional service. I just had my 4 month app and they said the next is around 8 months?
