Hi all.
My son has never called me directly mama .. he will just mutter around.
Has not learned to point to his body parts.
Not saying words as such.
Its so difficult to teach him he doesn't stay still to make him teach.. even if i try to teach with prop, he will take prop and play with it.
He is so hyperactive just want to run even tho he has not gained full balance.. so trips over all the time and get hurt.
How do u guys teach ur kids .
My LO has zero attention span..
Nowadays he gets fussy for no reason..
Please suggest some tips..also is there smthng i should be worried about..

Idk if he watches any tv but me and my daughter do ms Rachel together and I feel that worked for up

No help but my sons the same way:( he knows things like how to point cuz he’s done it before out of the blue (I think from singing head shoulders knees and toes!) he also has said words like once or twice but never again… he’s never said mama but he says dada sometimes

You aren’t alone! Super active baby boy here. He says maybe 5 words (but not mama or dada). He’s really vocal though! I think I’ve heard boys can take a bit longer for speech than girls and if they are quick to walk/run that their focus is on developing those skills rather than speech (vice versa).
Sure, I’d love for him to say more words, but I’m trusting it will come in time and at his own pace. Keep reading and speaking to him and it will come.

How old is he? I feel like each method is pretty dependent on the age
16 months

My son is also 16 months and doesn’t talk WHATSOEVER. He doesn’t know his body parts or his animal sounds. Or any colors or letters. I’m going to talk to his doctor tomorrow to see what can be done. But I’m in the same boat.
best wishes

Don’t worry mama, every child is different!
My four year old started muttering words and was very vocal at the age of 12-13m and walked at the age of 11m. My middle baby is 16m right now and just started walking about a month and a half ago. He mutters only mama and dadda and Ada (newest baby sister). I wouldn’t worry ❤️

Is he home or in daycare? I have a little boy who can’t stay still too! My son talks (a whole lot) and can even keep a mini convo going with us… but he doesn’t point. No matter what we try… he doesn’t point. He can show his body parts but will not point with his index finger, so I hear you and feel your pain! To get him to talk, I pretty much narrated my day. We’ve been counting up and down the stairs since day one. I count when I add food to his plate and name the colors. Idk, I’ve just always spoken to him since in my tummy. He knows more than he says out loud so don’t be surprised if you little one starts speaking sentences fluently while you’re waiting for a new word! Also it could be the way you’re speaking… give Ms Rachel a try if you’re open to screentime… she talks their talk!
