Has anyone used the Glow dreaming red white noise device? A girlfriend of mine said she's heard good things about it. Does it instill bad habits with needing noise to sleep? Or is white noise the way to go these days? I have a baby bunting gift card to use up, so I was thinking of maybe taking the plunge.

I have bought one for my baby, less so for the white noise as it's never been a magic pill for my kids, but the humidifier is useful and I've been liking the red light as it's easy to sleep with and I can do a nappy change with it. I bought it because I've got like three machines for my older son to do what this one does đ

White noise is really good, most people I know with babies use it. It's meant to be soothing because it mimics the noise babies hear while in utero. I still use it with my toddler on a really low setting, just because it drowns out the noise in the house.
Red light is used because it's meant to be the only light colour that doesn't interfere with the release of melatonin. Neither are necessary, but if you choose to use either, when you stop your baby will still be able to sleep without them, as far as I know they don't become sleep cues, using them isn't a bad habit

We have the glow dreaming, it's great. The light and noise are a nice cue as part of the bedtime routine that it's sleepy time. It's also great when we sleep somewhere else, because it makes it feel like home for her with a nice red glow and the same noise as at home. It's not that big to just chuck in your bag.
We haven't tried the humidifier/vaporiser yet.
My daughter is 11 months and I read we can/should continue the white noise until she's around 2 and then phase it out. We just use the low setting.
