Has anyone gone in for monitoring for reduced movements this early yet? 18 weeks? I feel like baby has been moving less (I’ve also been super busy) but after previous losses I’m just so anxious.

If your really worried then go in to be checked but theres still loads of room for baby to move without you being able to feel it. Midwifes suggest that they dont look for patterns in movement until your in the 3rd trimester, from around 26 weeks.
I just don’t want to ring and be fobbed off I don’t really find much support after losses to be honest. But my scan is still two weeks away x
yeah it’s true I feel like I’m now really trying to focus on it 🙄 how many weeks are you?x

Im really sorry about that! I find each hospital is vastly different in how they deal with loses. Have you gotten this far in a pregnancy before? It's really common not to feel anything at all until around 20-22 weeks. I didn't feel anything until I was 20 weeks exactly.

Same boat as you! 18+1, felt him very sporadically (maybe 5 time) since 16 weeks with anterior placenta. Everyone tells me midwives won't treat movement seriously till 22-24 weeks depending. it's common to be so sporadic at this time but I agree so worrying. My scan isn't for 2 weeks either x

You wouldn’t be monitored consistently at this stage as it’s too early for baby to establish a pattern of movement until 26+ weeks. If you’re worried though, call your midwife and they may see you. It’s very dependent on area and who you speak to at this early stage of movement x
its crazy how each trust also differ, my midwife told me at my 16 week appointment that patterns should be regular now - even though I know that’s not true. He’s actually just moved now but I think it’s just constant worry anyway until they’re in your arms isn’t it x
yeah I did think that hence why I’ve not bothered calling, I think it’s all just in my head to be honest due to anxiety x
I have one child but had two losses last year before 12 weeks but they have traumatised me and one was a missed miscarriage so I think it’s hard to fully relax

Totally get that. Hope you’re ok x

Oh wow! Some women don't even feel till 20 weeks plus! How unusual for them to say that x

I totally understand! I had a loss at 19 weeks due to a medical issue, and evem though ive had multiple scans this time round and been told loads that babybhad developed perfectly im still scared something could go wrong. I dont think ill relax until im holding her.
