Check if it’s got ibuprofen in it as I think most have and you shouldn’t have ibuprofen

No you can't use that in pregnancy but tiger balm is ok

Pharmacist here! Deep heat contains something called methyl salicylate which works in a similar way to aspirin. It's not advised to use it during pregnancy due to effects it may have on the fetus. Having said that, I wouldn't be too concerned if you have only used it once - most things will be unlikely to cause harm if you have only done it once. If you're still unsure though or can't find an appropriate alternative, it may be worth discussing with your local pharmacist or midwife. I hope you can find something similar that helps your back!

the safety of tiger balm hasn't actually been established in pregnancy either. Most manufacturers tend to err on the side of caution in these cases and also will not recommend it.

Unfortunately not. I had awful back and shoulder pain with my first so looked at the pain relief creams, asked a pharmacist and was told the only safe thing is paracetamol 😕
