Throwing up at nights

My daughter is 22 months old and she has been throwing up at nights after she drinks milk. I’m trying not to give her milk but she is asking for it. Usually around 4am she will wake up and ask for milk; after drinking it she starts gagging and throws up a lot. Anyone experienced anything like this? (During the day she drinks milk and she is ok)… Also, after that she wants to read books and not go to bed (that’s another issue we have been having lately). She wakes up at night and asks us to read books and play. Not sure what to do… it’s pretty exhausting…

Do you think she’s having sinus drainage and then needing a drink? Mucous plus milk would probably make me throw up too. My son has seasonal allergies and is on Zyrtec nightly. I also have a sippy cup with water in his crib.. he will wake up in the middle of the night take a drink and then go back to sleep. Maybe look into allergy meds? Try water instead of milk? Or even try Benadryl one night and see if she doesn’t wake up for milk.. I’d also put a humidifier in her room. It will help break up mucous.

No sure on the milk part but what kind of bed does she have. We have a floor bed and. A bookshelf in his room he can go and grab books to read. Maybe have something like that or keep some books in her bed so she can read them herself

@Kelly you know you could be right! This is started after she got sick with runny nose and ear injection. I was thinking to try water and see if she will be ok with it- she specially says “milk” “milk”…Benadryl is an option - I’ll try that tonight. Thank you very much!

@Gabrielle thank you! She wants us to be next to her and read to her and play with her 🙂
