Owlet sock alternatives

Hey, does anyone know of any alternatives to the owlet sock that is more affordable than £300, I didn’t have much anxiety about my baby sleeping or sids ect until my friends baby has just died 3 days old in her sleep, I will buy an owlet sock if there is no alternatives but just thought I’d check first

If you Google "on baby sleep monitor" there's a couple, ones called sense u which clips on their diaper. I think there's something else which is a mat under the baby. I haven't tried any of these things I am due March but they are just alternatives to look into

As I say I don't know about which is best but I just thought I would also say I'm sorry about the loss of your friends baby and it must be difficult experiencing this worry.

Firstly, while it’s devastating what’s happened to your friend it’s incredibly rare for a baby to die of SIDS. A word of warning on those monitors they aren’t all completely accurate and can cause more anxiety if they keep going off but everything is fine.

If you do go for one, find one that’s FDA cleared as they’ll have done the appropriate testing for it to be classed as a medical device :)
