My EBF 6 month old wakes so much in the night and if my partner doesn’t rock him back to sleep, I end up feeding to sleep as it’s the only way that works. I am so tired of waking so much that I’m considering the Ferber method.
Just wanted to hear some positive stories of people that have done it and how quick did it have an effect?

I’ve done it, worked within days and I still continue to do it now however it’s very rare he cries anymore ☺️

I did a modified version when the 4 month regression hit, it worked within 3 nights.
He then got ill about a month later and “forgot” how to fall asleep 🫠 (I think he just likes the cuddles) but once he’s over this new cold, I’ll be doing it again 😴

This was literally me few weeks ago. It actually worked. Didn’t go strictly with their time though. Personally can’t watch my baby cry for too long.

We had that, I played with her wake windows, naps and bedtime timings and she's now feeling 2-3 times a night, asleep 10min later (down from 7-8 wakes)

My daughter was really high sleep needs and only slept when she was rocked to sleep (day and night) so when she was about 7 months I started living by Huckleberry wake windows for naps and we did a soft version of cry it out. The French have a method called “Le Pause” which sounds much nicer - you put baby in bed drowsy but awake and “pause” for 5 minutes when they cry before going back in and resettling. It’s surprising how long 5 minutes feels when you’re timing it, and often she’d end up settling or falling asleep herself. With us, her being overtired was a big factor, so cracking the naps was also key. I know 90% of people are against sleep training, but a well rested mother, father and baby makes such a difference 💓🤗

How often are they waking? do they have a dummy? We ditched the dummy and he went from about 6/7 wakes a night to 2/3 at most for milk. He then got poorly and started waking a lot again but he needed comfort.
It seems like a lot of may babies are having trouble sleeping at the moment.
