Coleif

My baby is super gassy. Just wondering if any of you have tried coleif and if it's worked. He won't take infacol, it just leads to more screaming therefore more gas build up

We found Dentinox works best for us with both kids when they were young enough to need it.
It's a fraction of the price of Colief too.

The only thing is, you HAVE TO burp them after a bottle as it makes all the small bubbles into a big bubble, which is easier to float up to the surface as a burp.. however if you don't get a burp out, that big bubble will go down and cause a lot of discomfort as a trump. x

my wee one is ebf at the moment and tends to burp pretty well which is making me think the gas is a product of digestion, which is why I'm thinking coleif may be more effective... But obviously it's so expensive! I think its meant to work pretty quickly so if it doesn't work I can maybe rule out him having trouble with the lactose and try dentinox. I just wish I knew what to do to fix it :( my little girl was colicy but I don't remember her being this bad. Thankyou for your reply, much appreciated :)

Infacol is good to help them digest the lactose better that’s basically what it does

Infacol only works if you use it each day same times

My baby suffers really bad with windy bums and nothing I have used really helps

He is also CMPA

I use Colief but my little one has terrible farts!

Avatar

is that because of the coleif or are you using the coleif to remedy the farts.... My little guys farts are terrible also. They smell really horrid too. I mean obviously baby farts aren't gonna smell nice, but they are really stinky and there is so many of them when he does finally get them out. We are giving coleif a go tonight so fingers crossed 🤞

tried infacol and sadly my wee guy hates it. Spits it out and screams bloody murder so had to discontinue. As soon as i took the dropper out the bottle he would start screaming :(

My baby is nearly 10 weeks now. She has had terrible wind and colic so I have learnt a lot !

Top tip: your dr can give you Colief on prescription 😃 in wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 prescriptions are free, I’m not sure about Scotland but either way at £12 a tiny bottle if you can get a prescription will still be better, we get 3 bottles at a time .

It has definitely helped out little one, gripe water is also good but makes her shit herself and I don’t like that 😢

I’m not sure to be honest, he has always been windy but not sure if it’s better or not on Colief haha
He was put on it to help him digest his milk when he was smaller due to tummy problems and possible colic, he’s 3 months so probably need to take it off him at some point and wean him down.

How come your trying Colief x

Avatar

basically because we have tried everything else and I'm convinced the gas is being produced during digestion as I'm doing everything to stop the bubbles getting in there. I discussed with my HV and she said to give it a go. I think I might just give the 2 drop dose though as I'm aware they should be off it by 4 months.....but if it makes the next month more comfortable for him it will be worth it. Going to try dentinox too but not holding out much hope considering he hates infacol so much 🙄

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?
